Heard invest time into learning and understanding programs that the Buffalo public Schools use that provide studnts with learning opportunities that are highly engaging and vital to their social and emotional development needs. Teaming up with Say Yes Buffalo and the Neer Peer program was an no brainer. The students receive reserved time while in school which give them the opportunity to reflect about where they are now, and where they want to go in life. It gives them a safe place to connect with their peers who may have similar life experiences, discuss the power of positive choices, and equips them to put their dreams and goals above social pressures, and to know their inherent value and self-worth.
